Aquarius New Moon Eclipse

Happy Chinese New Year on this first day of the Fire Horse and the Aquarius New Moon Eclipse! The shedding of the Wood Snake year is done, and it is time to embark on new adventures, with strength, independence, and passion!

The astrology of our time is so wild, unprecedented, as are all the world events we are currently living in. It helps to know how these cycles of times work and what has happened prior during similar planetary aspects in the past. This week, in particular, holds so many signatures that it feels soul-yearningly important to decipher them for the collective.

Eclipses are important celestial events, where from an astrological viewpoint, we experience major beginnings and endings. This North Node Eclipse today, speaks of the karmic doors opening in our areas of our astrological natal charts, where Aquarius is placed. New beginnings, opportunities and surprises will continue to offer insights for each of us as well as the world as a whole.

The North Node itself is in a beautiful conjunction with Venus, exalted in Pisces, offering us the opportunity to go towards what we appreciate and value. Personal relationships are illuminated, and the growing trine from Venus to Jupiter in Cancer, offers us growth, expansion and good luck in our relationship endeavors at this time! The Venus-North Node is also conjunct Pallas Athena, imprinting us with the wisdom of healing and the patterns of collective collaboration!

The Eclipsed New Moon in Aquarius, offers us insights about the collective, our communities, social organizations, friends, technology, and the future. Fueled with Pluto, also travelling in Aquarius for the long-haul now, brings to the party intensity, death, rebirth, and transformation. Pluto can bring fear and powerplays, but also empowerment. As we have witnessed over the last month and a half, with all that has happened in Minnesota and surrounding areas, we continue to have both the powerplays – as well as the communities rising up – anything is possible in these times folks!

The New Moon Eclipse is in a square to Uranus, the modern ruler of Aquarius, bringing in an extra dose of that revolutionary quality, quirkiness and the unexpected, to this Eclipse time.

The ancient ruler of Aquarius is Saturn, currently at 0° Aries, and about to conjunct with Neptune, on February 20^th, 2026. This is a signature that astrologers worldwide have been watching, discussing, and anticipating for many years now!

Saturn rules structures, foundations, and is the Great Teacher of the Zodiac, requesting us to show up and take responsibility where it is needed and work diligently, so that the hard work will eventually bear fruit. On the flip side, it can bring hardship and feelings of loss. But, Saturn together with Neptune, is whole different kind of energy…

Neptune rules dreams, wishes, hopes, music, art, healing, as well as escaping reality, drugs, and alcohol. There is a boundlessness with Neptune, no borders, a fog confusing us, so we may not know what is reality, and what is illusion.

The conjunction of Saturn and Neptune is a time known for revolutions, maps being re-written, secret cults being formed, cults brought to light and dismantled, collective hysteria, like the witch hunts and red scares, as well as belief systems in general shifting under our toes. Together these two planets can blur boundaries, make something that seemed strong become frail, or beliefs that usually wouldn’t fly, become the norm.  

The last time Neptune and Saturn were conjunct, was The Fall of the Berlin Wall, back in 1989, when they conjoined in the Earth sign Capricorn. During the The American Civil War,  1861-1865, Saturn and Neptune were last conjunct together in Aries.

Aries is the sign of the self, the pioneer, the hero or heroine, the action figure, entrepreneur, the self-starter, the match that sparks the fire. This astrological signature we are living under, gives us the spark to act, to be the individuals we are meant to be, to help the collective, and be the heroes, we are meant to be.

So, if you can, take this New Moon time to go inwards, to feel what is coming up in your subconscious selves, and bring it to life. There is no time like the present to manifest your dreams – or to realize that maybe the dream you were chasing, wasn’t the right one for you.  Either way, seeds are being planted, whether you pay attention to them or not.
