Leo New Moon and More!

Hello There Astrology Friends,

So much has happened, since I last checked in, the biggest being Uranus having entered the air-sign Gemini, on July 7th. Uranus sends shockwaves and it awakens us from slumber to notice alternate options available. Uranus rules technology and AI, it helps create change and find liberation. It is called “The Higher Octave of Mercury” as it brings lighting-like brilliance, new inventions, and revolutionary ideas. Uranus is the rebel and now in Gemini we can expect everything speeding up, from faster communications to more objects flying through the ethers. Gemini rules the hands and arms, so we may see much more technology being integrated into our upper limbs than before.
Last week, I read in the news that scientists at Beijing Institute of Technology in China have figured out how to make cyber bees that can travel long distances without getting tired. Bees that act like drones carrying the tiniest cameras, only weighing 74 milligrams, and how that is the newest breakthrough for military reconnaissance missions in hostile territories, among other things. Welcome to Uranus in Gemini 2025-2033!
Did you know that the so-called mid-life crises is often linked to the Uranus opposition Uranus we all go through, during ages 42-44? It takes Uranus approximately 84 years to go around the Zodiac, so this half point, when it opposes your own natal Uranus, is a known time people start shaking things up in their lives. Ironically, both my husband and I decided to leave our home and country, during our simultaneous Uranus opposition Uranus transits – and we moved to Europe with the family.
There is a bigger picture at play with Uranus in Gemini now. Uranus trines Pluto in Aquarius and sextiles the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries. We are in a monumental new era and there is no going back to the ways things used to be.
Pluto, Hades, Ruler of the Underworld, has destroyed the old ways, the structures have been dis-assembled, but simultaneously we have the ingredients available to begin new stories and build different pathways. This is a time of community-building and planning for a different kind of future than what you perhaps might have thought some years back. Truly, anything is possible.
The Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries will only be exact in February 2026, so we still have some time to plan how to use this energy, though we are fully feeling its conjunction already now, as they are less than a degree apart. Aries, a fire sign and the first one of the Zodiac, teaches us about inspiration, courage, and action.
Saturn makes us work harder wherever it lands, and it slows us down so we can create things that have a more lasting structure. So, depending on where Aries is in your astrological natal chart, and what personal planets or astrological points you have there or are being aspected, you may have a very different experience of what is going on. Mainly, Saturn is making sure all ducks are in a line, that there is a plan, and that the plan makes sense and can uphold against the tests of time. The curve ball is Neptune – or should I say “The Illusion is Neptune”. Neptune dissolves, erodes, and confuses what it touches, but in some cases, it may heighten situations. Neptune is also called “The Higher Octave of Venus”. If Venus is Love, Neptune is Divine Love.
Yes, it is all confusing: Aries asks for action, Saturn slows us down, and Neptune may dissolve the whole situation. At the same time Uranus is urging fast-paced movement, and Pluto is ready to build. The big question is what? What are you hoping to accomplish? That is something to ponder upon! Start writing down your ideas, hopes, and dreams of manifestation. Just thinking about possibilities is the first step of any journey.
And if you aren’t sure what to do yet, don’t worry, everything will reveal itself when it is the right time. Speaking of Time, we have a fantastic New Moon in Leo aligning with the above-mentioned planets on July 24th, 2025.
New Moon in Leo, July 24th, 2025, 12:11 pm PST, San Francisco, CA, USA

This is a powerful transformative and fiery new moon, with all the ingredients to begin planning your next creative venture! Leo is about creativity, tapping into what makes your heart feel on fire, and the passion that heats you up. Leo rules children, romance, sex, fun, and extracurricular activities. It also rules the heart in the body.
The Leo New Moon makes an exact opposition to Pluto, promising intensity, and hopefully not too many power plays. There is much potency in this new moon, so plan accordingly as you will begin a new three-year Moon Family Cycle, and it isn't for the faint of heart! Please be careful not to step inside a wasp nest or snake burrow and please don’t go sky diving or try unnecessarily dangerous activities during this new moon time!
Otherwise, Saturn and Neptune make a beautiful trine to the New Moon, and Uranus of course a sextile. Do take this time to tap into your heart’s wishes, have some fun, play with children, make some music, get artsy and perhaps try your stage worthiness in a talent show or open mic. You never know where the possibilities may take you.
There is yet another curve ball, because isn’t that always the case, with life: Mercury just stationed retrograde on July 18th at 15° Leo, and will station direct August 11th, at 4° Leo. As with all Mercury Retrogrades, it is recommended to not begin new projects, purchase technical products, or sign contracts. Instead, use this time wisely to follow-up on projects started prior to the retrograde. Re-visit, re-vise, re-draft your writings and plans, double or triple check your messages and allow extra time when travelling due to miscommunications. This is a great time to circle back to your creative ventures and tap into your heart center.
Wishing you all a transformative and fun New Moon time ahead!
XOXO
