The November 19th Eclipsed Full Moon in Taurus sure was intense! Where we live there was a fog-covered sky, so we weren’t able to see the Eclipse, but boy did we feel it. It was a definite taste for what the upcoming shift will have in store for us when the North Node switches from Gemini to Taurus, and the South Node from Sagittarius to Scorpio, on January 19th 2022.
It takes 18 months for the nodes to transit through a pair of signs, so we will have this new dynamic between Taurus-Scorpio all the way till July of 2023. It feels good for the restrictive South Node to move out of Sagittarius, so optimism, long-distance travel, philosophy and positive expansion of the minds can resume. Also, the neurotic search for more information will calm down when the North Node moves into Taurus - bringing with it the need to slow down, connect to Mother Earth, our values and self-worth. Get ready for a time of letting go of the unnecessary, diving deep within to transform the old stories, hurts and fears - and to rekindle and find our self-sufficiency and gratitude within ourselves.
December Astrology Forecast
We certainly have another full month ahead. Get out your calendars and notebooks to get ready for the ride. The dates for the aspects below are for the exact astrological culminations, though many aspects prevail for days leading up and after the actual aspect dates mentioned.
December 2nd Neptune will station direct at 20°24 Pisces after having been retrograde since June 26th 2021. Neptune is the planet of dreams, imagination, spirituality, deception and illusion, and it will power its motors in our collective unconscious. This planet offers us the opportunity for spiritual escape and transcendent bliss, but also disillusionment, drugs, alcohol and sacrifice. It is good to remind yourself to not fall into the story of victimhood, but to consciously take charge of your life and materialize your dreams. Neptune in Pisces is asking us to envision and manifest healing for the collective, the oceans and waterways, those who are underserved and the World as a whole.
December 4th New Moon Solar Eclipse at 12°22 Sagittarius.
The New Moon Solar Eclipse kicks off another 2-year and 3-month cycle of searching for truth, philosophy and spirituality! If you have a personal planet or angle close to this 12°22 degree of Sagittarius, the eclipse with speak louder to you.
Eclipses are intense times, often accompanied with upheaval, and situations can take drastic turns into directions you never considered before. Some say the repercussions of an Eclipse can continue up to six months or simply they have the ability to change the direction of your life in ways you never expected. December 6th Mars at 25°11 Scorpio will sextile Pluto in Capricorn. On a global level, Pluto in Capricorn continues to highlight the intensity and power of the authorities (Police, Governments, Employers) and with Mars activating Pluto, you can expect power issues to arise around the world. There is an eager search for truth to be unveiled, a will to uncover hidden facts and the opportunity to present your position clearly and forcefully. Be prepared and make your moves precise. December 7th Mercury at 20°25 Sagittarius will square Neptune in Pisces and Mars in Scorpio will square Jupiter in Aquarius. There will be a lot of moving and shaking with these dynamics. Mercury in Sagittarius generally has a “message to deliver” and with the Neptunian twist you can expect spiritual messages coming through the ethers. People may not want to be hearing other people’s points of view, but rather tout their own stories through bull horns. Information and communication will be disorienting and unclear. December 11th Mercury in Sagittarius will sextile Jupiter in Aquarius at 26°58 and the Sun will square Neptune in Pisces at 20°26. More confusing messages will prevail. It feels like a time to try and bend like bamboo and not settle on any given piece of information, till later in the month.
December 13th Mars moves into Sagittarius and Mercury ingresses into Capricorn. If Mars in Scorpio is the quiet calculative sniper, Mars in Sagittarius is the loud rambunctious centaur ready for action. Mercury in Capricorn brings our minds and thoughts back to getting serious and down to business.
December 15th Mars in Sagittarius is conjunct the South Node at 1°42. The last big hit for the South Node in Sagittarius – restrictions on long-distance travel can be expected!
December 19th Full Moon Eclipse in Gemini at 27 degrees.
The Gemini Full Moon has an optimistic vibe about it, with Jupiter at 28°11 degrees Aquarius in trine with the Moon and in sextile with the Sun! There is a feeling of finally understanding, especially after an almost two-week period of the Sun in square with Neptune, that we finally know more about what is really going on. Full Moons are about illumination, and this Moon offers us a full view of what the last 18 months have been about, especially with the nodes having transited through the Gemini-Sagittarius axis since May of 2020 and now finishing their transit there in a few weeks! This is the moment to put the last puzzle pieces together between the facts, fiction, fake news, real news, truth and untruths…
December 20th Mercury in Capricorn trine Uranus in Taurus at 11°10. Sudden unexpected information will come up. New changes in thoughts, values, reasoning and communication can be foreseen.
December 21st Sun into Capricorn. In the northern hemisphere we reach the deepest and darkest time of year, when we experience the longest night and the seasonal clock shifts and we begin our long journey toward summertime.
December 23rd Saturn in Aquarius square Uranus in Taurus. The last Saturn-Uranus square of the year will bring to the forefront what we have been dealing with all year long: Authorities putting down restrictions on people and communities – and rebellious responses prevail for people to break free from those restrictions! Perhaps this last square is what is needed to finally crumble the dynamic that has been overshadowing all of 2021.
December 25th Venus conjunct Pluto. Intense encounters! Perhaps some lavish gift shows up under your tree, in your stocking or in a wooden slipper by the door… or maybe you spent all your money and your finances take a downturn. Let’s hope for nice gifts for all. This could perhaps signify a death for corporate money… as Pluto and Venus are both in Capricorn.
December 26th Mercury in Capricorn sextile Neptune in Pisces at 20°35.
