Dear Friends,
Wishing you all a beautiful Winter Solstice evening. As we journey through this darkest and longest night of the year, may we all turn inwards, to find the burning lights inside ourselves. May we take this time and find tranquility, notice the ending of a year’s cycle, and replenish our souls with gratitude and appreciation for ourselves.
We have entered the Time of Capricorn, and the intuitive, often serious, and very hard-working Sea Goat is here to remind us to connect back to the Earth, to Ground ourselves and to acknowledge how far we have come - before we begin our journey up the next Mountain!
New Moon in Capricorn, December 23rd, 2022, 2:17 a.m. P.S.T., San Francisco, CA
Friday early morning we begin a fresh cycle with the New Moon at 2° Capricorn. This is a perfect time to begin thinking of what seeds each one of us wants to plant for this next year to come. Capricorn rules Foundations, Structures, Goals, Careers, as well as Authorities, the Elders, Governments and let’s not forget: Time. Capricorn shows us where we need to put in Time, Build Foundations, Plan, and Take Charge.
The Capricorn New Moon is in a square to Jupiter, that has just moved back into Aries, and is helping us get excited about new ideas, pioneering moves and believing in ourselves. The square can also signify frustration between believing it is Time to move full force ahead, while our Luminaries (Sun and Moon) are requesting a Steadier and more Committed plan, before charging ahead.
There is also a square from the New Moon to Ceres in Libra, illuminating the need to nurture ourselves in our partnerships and relationships. Fairness, Equality and Finding Balance are all key components for moving forward. The Ceres in Libra opposition to Jupiter in Aries dynamic is having the discussion between “What about Me” - and “What about us”!
It isn’t just the Luminaries asking us to slow down, our Trickster friend Mercury is just about to start his retrograde journey, December 29th through January 19th, 2023. We are already in the shadow phase, so wrapping up already previously started projects is the way to go. As always, try to avoid signing contracts, purchasing big (especially technology) items and be ready to Re-do, Re-visit, Re-confirm everything! Double check emails, payments, appointments et cetera. By February 7th, 2023, we will be out of the Mercury Retrograde Shadow, moving full steam ahead.
December 29th, just when Mercury starts his retrograde journey, he will also conjunct Venus right at 24° Capricorn, bringing about old Loves and Friendships, but be careful, possibly also Money Re-do’s might be up for contemplating. So, perhaps wait to purchase those big-ticket items after the Holidays, and see what comes up around the 29th, and perhaps there are new twists to plans you weren’t aware of before.
