Taurus New Moon is around the corner - Tuesday May 11th at noon PST - to be exact.
Taurus is the sign of stability, sensuality and earthly delights and it rules over our value systems, possessions and sense of security. This New Moon gifts us a chance to set our intentions with patience and grounding while considering our self-worth for the journey ahead. Black Moon Lilith is conjunct the New Moon and grants us the push for sovereignty through what we can create, own and have as security in our lives. The Lilith archetype is a strong woman, who doesn’t fall for patriarchal propaganda, but instead lights a fire and an urge for self-sufficiency. This is the time to plant seeds of intention for what you want to manifest for the next cosmic cycle of new beginnings. Go alone out into Nature, open your senses, walk barefoot and feel the Earth beneath you, eat the fruit and listen to what messages come to you.

There is a trine from the New Moon to Pluto in Capricorn offering the ability to let go of what isn’t serving us in our old outdated structures. One has to be conscious though about one’s intentions, so the right seeds get planted, and the release of the old is not throwing out the baby with the bathwater! Jupiter’s leisurely square to the New Moon could be an indication of going overboard if one doesn’t pay attention.
Venus which is the ruler of the Taurus Moon is in lively Gemini signifying the importance of social connections and communications with others. Venus in Gemini loves to get info from different sources, cross pollinate ideas and mix things up. The need to connect feels so dire right now when everything is starting to ‘open up’ after the Covid-19 cases have been going down, and vaccination numbers have been going up, at least here in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Mars is squaring Chiron creating possibly some passive-aggressive conflict on how we heal or wound ourselves. In Aries emphasis is on oneself. What do you need right now to revive yourself, is the question. Is it to intermingle and socialize with others, perhaps in their homes or your own, or are you still trying hard to not catch Covid and stay ‘socially distanced’? When Chiron is involved with Mars in Cancer there is friction between what we are doing (Mars) in our homes and the homes of others (Cancer) and the concept of healing ourselves.
Mercury’s sextile to Chiron emphasizes the importance of communication. Don’t stay tight-lipped and stuck like a bull up against a wall, but communicate, get more information from others and find the path of least resistance to continue along your garden path to greener pastures.
The current New Moon also offers a pleasant sextile to Neptune in Pisces presenting us the ability to visualize and dream what we hope our perfect world to be.
